The Website provides several opportunities for you, the user, to voluntarily provide me with your personal information in exchange for a free resource, to be added to or email or subscriber list, or to contact me. I use secure third-party data processors, such as Stripe and Wise, to take and complete payments, and I will not retain nor have access to your payment information at any time.
If you are on my email list due to your consent to be added, I may also use your data to send you targeted social media advertisements or upload your information into my social media account to create look-a-like audiences. To ensure compliance with the CASL Act, all emails from me will clearly state the sender of the email, as well as provide instructions on how to unsubscribe from my list or contact me with any questions or concerns.

How & Why It’s Collected

By collecting and using your personal data, I am acting as a data controller, meaning I determine what information is collected, how long it is stored, and what the Personal Information will be used for. I utilize a third-party company to act as a data processor, which stores information such as names and email addresses that make up my email list.
Beyond Dharma uses ManyChat as its chatbot provider on Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and SMS. ManyChat collects public Facebook and/or Instagram profile information, distributes my content, and tracks actions you take that assist me in measuring the performance of the chatbot.
To the best of my ability, I have researched and concluded that all third-party data processors I use have advised us they are compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations as well.

I use commercially reasonable methods to safeguard your personal data, including that which you provide to use, and that which I collect automatically, by using reasonable online security measures, and sharing your data with reputable third-party vendors that are compliant with generally accepted security and safety measures. I utilize a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) on our Website in order to assist in the secure transfer of information; however, it can never be guaranteed. Should I become aware that a data breach has occurred, I will timely notify the necessary parties with as much information as I have available.
While I do my best to protect the information I collect and prevent any misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure, you understand that I cannot be responsible should an unauthorized third party obtain access to my information, without my consent. I have determined it is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer, as my core activities do not consist of processing operations that require regular and systematic monitoring of data subjects nor do I process sensitive categories of data on a large scale.

I will retain the minimum amount of Personal Information required of yours, including name, email address, and behavior tracking, as long as you elect to remain on my mailing list, and any additional Personal Information as long as it is needed in order to fulfill the purpose for which it was initially collected, such as completing a purchase. I will also retain and use collected information as necessary in order to comply with any legal obligations, resolve any disputes, or as otherwise reasonably determined. If at any point you elect to be removed from my database, your information will be deleted, and no longer retained.
